And so, we departed...

With a high expectation, a lot of energy, being sure that something good was going to happen... and it did!

The 14th of May 2022 was already starting with high temperatures. The bus took us to Tomar, the city of the Knights Templar. But, after all, what was Casape's day going to be like in Tomar?

One thing was certain, we were surrounded by a beautiful city, so the premise was already good. After so much suspense and suspicion, the confirmation came, Casape was going to have a team building day and, as the name suggests, the group was divided into teams. The bustle was great. What is my team? What's yours? You're on mine, I'm on yours.

All teams ready, off we went to discover the city of Tomar on a Paper Chase game with our monitors. The very first thing we did was our flag, the one that identified the motto of the teams.

On the Paper Chase game we explored the history of Tomar. We found streets, statues, monuments, museums, churches, wonderful things to see and visit in the city of Tomar.

The aim of each team was to look for clues and overcome challenges, visit the places, take photos of certain places and, finally, answer the questionnaire about Casape and about Tomar, with the aim of collecting points, as in the end there would be a winning team.

As 1pm was approaching, the temperature rose to very high levels and it was time for lunch and our well-deserved rest at Quinta de São Pedro, where we were entitled to our meal and the rest of the gods.

This day wasn't over yet. The group dynamics per team continued at the farm.

I'm just going to explain a little bit about the dynamics and let your imagination take care of the rest.

What about a spider web through which the whole team had to pass? How about filling a 5-litre jug with water over a lake with just reeds, pulleys, string, tape, and a plastic cup? What about making a structure out of straws, spaghetti, a plastic bag, tape, so that you could drop an egg and it wouldn't break? And make a scream to scare the other teams? And picking up a basket with a little hook while half a dozen of your colleagues are pulling in all directions? It's not easy on your own, is it?

Our monitors were introducing the strategy, planning and communication that a team should have whenever we act together, after all we were doing team building tests to be used in teamwork.

At the end of the day, we were all tired, but we were grinning from ear to ear. The blue team was the big winner, but in fact there were no winners or losers. Fun was the big winner, and the memories of this day will last for a long time.
